Last summer, little Susie and her cousins staged an animal play at her grandfathers farmhouse. So when Mrs Kitty, her teacher,announced that they would have an animal show in school, Susie
jumped in excitement and said. "T've done this before and I love being a bear "
So Mrs Kitty asked her to dircct the play and guide the other children.
Susie showed little Ronnie how to run like a squirrel and taught Tom how to
roar like a tiger. Susie and Jill decided to beeome an elephant. She asked her mother,
"What kind of costume shall
I wear?
Mummy had a ready solution. She rummaged Daddy's old trunk and brought out a BIG grey coat.
Jill and Susic bent down, and the coat was draped over them.
One of the sleeves became the trunk. The whole theatre clapped loudly as the 'elephant" entered, swinging his long trunk. The play was a grand success and everyone praiscd Susie for her direction and acting.
