“I am unwell, dear,” she said to him. Patrick felt very sad.
He had never seen Mummy falling sick. Even Daddy was out of town.
I must help Mummy, after all, she needs rest, he thought.
He ran to his room. It was so messy with clothes, books, and toys scattered all around. Patrick started cleaning the room. He dusted the cabinets, picked up the books from the floor, and arranged them properly. He tidied the room and kept everything in place.
Then he went to the bathroom and bathed all by himself, unlike other days when Mummy had a hard time getting him to take his bath. After that, he went to the kitchen and made a sandwich for Mummy.
Imagine her surprise when she saw Patrick with a tray, standing
in front of her.
“Thank you so much. That's so nice of you,” she said.
‘I love you, Mummy,” said Patrick and gave her a big hug.
