In a post on the social media X (formerly Twitter), Simon Harris wrote that this is a very sad decision taken by the Israeli government of Benjamin Netanyahu. He completely rejects the idea of Ireland being labeled anti-Israel. Ireland is for peace, for human rights, for international law.
Simon Harris mentioned that Ireland wants a two-state solution to resolve the crisis between Israel and Palestine. He said, Ireland wants a two-state solution. Ireland wants the people of Israel and Palestine to live in peace and security. Ireland has always spoken out in favor of human rights and international law. Nothing can distract Ireland from this.
Egypt, Spain, Mexico and several other countries have supported the petition filed at the ICJ. But Israel has not taken this step in the case of other countries.
